I had a pair of Ariat Heritage tall boots for 3-4 years and went back to the same thing. They redesigned them and are snug at the ankle which I hate. I want a soft floppy ankled boot! lol I like a very flexible boot that are not like stove pipes. I have a show boot that is fine but need a every day boot. I am relinquished right now to my paddock boots with Volant half chaps, of course that they don’t make anymore.
I have the volant tall boots, they are magical…
If they come in your size and are in stock! I’ve been stalking Smartpak for months…
check fb sites too… sometimes people are selling them. Or ebay
Maybe you can try a pair of JUSTIN high boots, a similar brand to Ariat, There are some differences with the designs. If you have boot tree or swim noodle to create a ideal foot shape in the high boots , you can use that in your new boots.Generally, there is a break-in period for new boots or shoes, Thus, personally,I think your foot need sometime to fit the new high boots
Maybe try the Ovation Flex Sport Field boots. Soft in the ankles and not as narrow fitting as the Tredstep.
I just tried a pair of these. Yes, very soft in the ankles. I really liked them. Sadly, the foot was just too narrow in the toe for my duck feet.
Thank you for the recommendation. Just ordered from Big Dee’s. Reviews seem like what I’m looking for.
