The page reloading behavior has gotten much, much better 
Most pages I go to COTH/other might display a video but there is only one other site where I get the audio.
Today, I got a video for Trivago that had the audio on (I’ve got all the audio stuff pretty much off on my iMac). I was using Safari.
At least with the audio on it was easy to know who the offending ad was from 
The loading has gotten a lot worse for me the last few days. It even times out.
I am having a lot of trouble with page loading timing out as well. I am on Chrome.

When there’s a random wonkiness in the site that does not seem to be a universal issue, my first line of advice is to clear the cookies for the site.
Here’s one site that gives instructions for how to remove cookies from a site on different browsers.
