I have no other explanation. She came to me almost 10 years ago as anything but herd boss. About a year later she took over the world. Probably my fault for accentuating the white nose with sunscreen that first year.
Also, before the draft horses. There was this guy. RobN Run. I had him 24 years, from a young, unhappy teenager (me, not him!), through college in another country, and then years of his retirement. Even after a number of years, he makes me cry. This was the last good picture of him, age 35. Shed out he was the most beautiful, blood bay. The epitome of the classic Thoroughbred. Healthy until a last horrific night of colic.
Thank you <3 If you asked her she’d say, “Of course I’m regal. I’m the Queen of [edit] Everything!”
Ms Kyra…she has been with me for 19 years.
If you turn up the sound, you can hear her snoring in the little video. I guess she does it every time she naps. I did not know this until I moved her to this little barn. The first picture-mostly clean. The second with camouflage .

My TB Hunter/Eventer/Dressage mount - never refused to try anything I asked, for 20yrs
Oh the days of the velvet hunt cap with no chin strap. I have a few of those. How did we ever survive?
My stinker of an overgrown pony:
My lovely little red mare:
My big gray beast:
My late great homebred, never to be replaced
My boy. He turns 15 next month and I’ve known him since he was a day old and owned him since he was a year old. He’s family. In the background is my friend’s lovely OTTB mare. I take care of her for my friend, so she’s adopted family.
You have gorgeous horses!! And one of each main color. Love the one of your late horse. It’s a beautiful photo, very atmospheric.
The snoring!
Thank you! I just recently remembered I took that late last spring and dug it up. I’d forgotten how much I love it for so many reasons. That it is her competing with Whistlejacket for room on my living room wall is just one of them.
Look at those knees!
