I had a Morgan mare my dad used to fondly call “Mule-ears” as he rubbed them … she loved face massages and ear rubs, and she just adored my father.

Maizey, my perfect pony I never got as a kid, in her war pony furriness a month ago. I loff her deeply and keep telling myself I need to let a kid enjoy her and then she does this and I think, “eff dem kids.”

This handsome man named, appropriately, Bay, a probable Morgan horse somewhere around 30 who broke my pelvis 20 years ago - this is last summer because he doesn’t, won’t, and never has shed before May… And then a recent pic of him in Jan, he still looks awesome and I adore him and I know I can trust him to stay still and let the puppy come up and not get squished or scared.

This was his trot about 6-7 years ago. you can see his worried eye muscles. I’m reminded that I don’t have recent pictures of us!
