Update: as was suspected, it is ulcers. I finally was able to get him scoped yesterday. The vet found multiple partially healed ulcers. That is after 2 consecutive months of treatment so they must have been really severe to begin with. Poor guy! So we are starting another round of meds and he will be put on a tapering plan. After that hopefully he’ll be good to go!
