I miss Evention TV

How can we convince them to continue?

Agreed!

Send them some money so they have the time and resources to do this…editing and making videos is extremely time consuming and the equipment expensive.

Maybe a sponsor?

I don’t think they have ever publicly announced why they stopped making videos. It’s possible that their stopping had nothing to do with time and money. Unless I am missing something and they had announced why.

I loved those videos, and I go back and rewatch some of the good ones every once in a while as they pertain to me. I would be thrilled to see them start making more videos again, but at this point it feels unlikely.

I interviewed them for an article last year. They initially started the videos as a way to get their names out there. Dom thought it was easier to do videos than write a book and it would be a good way to go viral. When I chatted with them they said they wanted to do more videos, but they just didn’t have the time as their business had grown from when they initially started the videos.

I sort of know the producers behind at least some of the videos (Grace at Right Start). I know that they have since gotten married and have really been into doing wedding photography, so it’s possible that maybe the 2 entities have been too busy to get together.

It eats time to shoot it, and it eats crazy amounts of time to edit and produce it. Given their name recognition now vs then, I can see where it might not be the best use of their time to do it anymore.

I agree with the above and these videos were a super way for Dom and Jimmie to get their names out there. They could easily charge for a subscription, if that’s the route they wanted to take. Those videos are the best of the best out there.

Wasn’t there some issue in which their videos were used illegally in someone else’s for profit video series? I was concerned that this contributed to their decision to not continue.

There are so many topics I would love for them to cover.

He told me that they were crazy time consuming (and expensive) to shoot. I think they’re really just too darn busy now to keep doing them; at least on that level of production.

I loved the longer ones… Can’t recall the name off hand but it was more of a behind the scenes look. Loved it.

I think it was them that taught me how to successfully back up my trailer.

Dressage Skillz was genius.

I miss it as well. Not only was the content incredibly helpful but I loved the banter and the chemistry Dom and Jimmie had on camera. At least they still do commentary for livestreamed events! I follow them both on social media (Dom updates more frequently). I certainly don’t begrudge them their success and the fact that they are both so busy, although I wish they would at least do a biannual update of some kind!

Most memorable line: “Above the bit? What a load of sh*t!”

Just in case anyone hasn’t seen it or wants to watch it again:

I sing that song to myself constantly. Love it.

Dressage skillz just cracked me up all over again. But the “What people think I do…” video is my absolute favorite.

Hopefully they monetized their videos because you can actually make money off YouTube. It is usually $2,000-$3,000 per 1 millions views, and they have 11 million total.
