I’m saddle shopping for a new horse. I rode in the HD Future Platinum Jump Saddle yesterday and loved it. My mare had the biggest trot stride she’s ever done. Anyone have any experience with this saddle?
Not that particular saddle, but I have an older Dabbs AO that I love. Would not hesitate to buy another of their saddles if I ever replace this one.
For a while they weren’t really being sold in the US. Does someone have them imported again now?
I found this one as a demo at Pelham Saddlery in NH. I love everything about it. Went on a 9 mile ride today and my butt tells me this is my unicorn…as long as the saddle fitter says yes it’s never leaving my barn!!!
Yeah, baby! They are amazing, aren’t they? Absolutely can’t be beat for a thoroughbred-type back especially. The hand-riveted trees are super durable, too, and have a lifetime warranty so if your saddle fitter says it isn’t perfect it can be adjusted. Harry Dabbs will have a bunch of them at the Retired Racehorse Project this fall and I believe will be doing free fittings there.

My saddle fitter approves…he approves. Needs some tweaks, but he approves. My little girl is an OTTB. Thought fitting her would be relatively easy. Turns out she’s a wide without much of a wither…honestly she’s a TB…I have her papers!!! 12 brands and a lot of money later we found our saddle!!
