I need Jingles Please

I need jingles for my Soot cat. The furnace repair man came her about 30 minutes ago, I did not know I had an appointment, hubby said it was next week, so I was taken by surprise and did not have a chance to put the cats in the spare room. When the furnace guy came in the door my little crippled cat Soot, freaked out and lost her mind. She took off running and I though she went upstairs to my mom, but a search proved otherwise. I can’t find her and I’m so afraid she jumped the pet gate and got out while he was bring his stuff in although it looked like she ran to the stairs. It’s not like her to be terrified of visitors but she absolutely lost it. I’ve tried shaking her treat bag, which never fails to bring her running, but no response.
If you’ve read all this, can I please get a jingle and some prayers if that’s your thing. She’ll never make it outside. Thanks guys.

Jingles that Soot is safely hiding some place in the house and laughing at you while you freak out about not finding her.

Thank you, I’m just beside myself with guilt. I should’ve known he was going to be here and had the cats corralled. I can’t go out and hunt for her cause I have the furnace guy to deal with.

Can you call a friend to come sit with the furnace guy while you go looking?

My 2 Supposed-To-Be-Barncats (now in the house for 7yrs :smirk:) do a vanishing act when anyone pulls in the driveway, let alone actually enters the house
JINGLING that Soot is doing the same & will reappear after The Horrible Intruder has gone

WE JUST FOUND HER!!! :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face:
She got up under my Mom’s recliner, ripped a hole in the fabric, and stuffed herself into the nether regions of chair, she’s still there looking horrified, poor wee cat. I’ve never seen her so stressed. We shut the door to the room and she is safe. Thank you for the jingles!

Oh dear, I hope you find her. Years ago, after my MIL passed, DH and I got custody of her cat. One day after going in and out of the house a lot, and I “lost” Chico. I frantically ran all over, our property, neighbors’ property. Guilt, guilt, guilt. Neighbor, devote Catholic, prayed to St. Anthony (patron saint of lost things) for me. Hours later I found him sleeping behind some furniture where I swear I had looked. I am not religious, but I thanked the neighbor (and St. Anthony).

Please keep COTH posted.

So glad to hear that!

I was just about to post that I was convinced for days that one of my cats had gotten outside somehow after a workman came to service the heat pump, and finally discovered her in the same place as your Soot: up in the innards of an arm chair!

I’ve also had one make a hole in the box springs cover and hide inside.

So glad you found Soot.

All of my cats except for John Coltrane are “damaged” by prior owner/human neglect. Before I let any people come into my house I have to make sure they’re all in their safe places.

If they come early or unannounced I ask them to wait outside while I find everyone and put them away. Some people get annoyed and others think it’s way too much time and energy spent on lowly cats

We found her! We were posting at the same time! She ripped a hole in the underneath of my mom’s recliner and is currently stuffed inside the chair. She’s shut in the room, so she is safe.

The furnace guy just left. now I can restart the day . Thank you all for the jingles!

Same with my kitty’s, all have some trauma. Usually the are locked away when we have people coming over, but this sure took me by surprise. Soot only has 3 working legs, one hind leg is a “dangler” and although she get around just great, I don’t think she’d fend to well outside long term.

This is why I will never own another box spring.

Absolutely! I had a surprise like yours years ago and it took forever to find the cat. Now I could care a less if it was the Pope knocking on my door, he has to wait until I get the cats away.

I love coming to a story late, so I get straight to a happy ending. Poor little thing, hope she settles down again quickly.

So glad you found your kitty! My cats ripped a hole in my new sofa and hide there if anyone comes over. 5 minutes after the people leave my cats will come out. Fur-children!!!
