I’m just taking the slight chance that I may find out who once owned the horse I recently saved. He is the spitting image of Black Beauty.
He is a Gelding and in his mid twenty’s. About 15.3 hands
He has a tattoo that I have not been able to make out (used black light too) I will be doing further research on the tattoo to hopefully retrace his past.
I am NOT looking to sell him nor return him I love him very much and he is retired and will live out the rest of his life in good care and love.
He is a true Black Gelding. He has a perfect Star on his for head and no other white. (some geriatric graying in the temple area)
He is so friendly to be around that I believe he was someone’s most beloved horse for most of his life. He also is a beautiful mover.
I bought him from a dealer in PA. last month and he was grossly underweight (body score 2) he was said to be heading to New Holland. This dealer was giving him some time to see if he could find a home, so I bought him.
He is sound and regaining his weight. He was sold to this other dealer from people who said they had no money to feed him. Supposedly there is no other information about him.
I would believe that once this horse was owned by someone who maybe gave him away, and perhaps he was then given away again.
He has perfect manners and even if I never find out who owned him I love him very much.
He has an old injury(that doesn’t bother him) and a medical quirk that if you can tell me what they are than I’ll know you are his past owner.
I’d just like to let you know that he is ok now. But almost went to slaughter, and I like to talk to you more about his past as a young horse.
