I sold a saddle, cheaper to ship UPS or USPS?

Anyone?

For me it was always cheaper with USPS.

Yup. I weigh and measure and buy shipment online. With USPS if the package is L+w+H is less than 108 inches, you get the lesser rate. I’ve cut down many boxes. Shipping is around $35. You can go to usps and play around with their shipping calculater to get a price. I think ups is more.

I find the most affordable way is by FedEx Ground. As reasonable as ~$40 USD when I have shipped.

Pack it up yourself if you can. The charges for just packng are much more than if you pack it. Usually a box that is an 18" cube, 19" or 20" will fit a saddle well, depending on the size of the saddle.

FedEx GROUND is really quite reasonable.

I will have to remember that!

I have found that once you add the extra expense of the insurance, Fex Ex is usually the best way to go compared to USPS.

For shipping within the US I have always used usps. Best price and easy to drop off.
