I Sold My Mare

I got an offer that I couldn’t refuse. I haven’t done much riding during these boiling months of hellish heat. No, let me be honest. I haven’t been on my horse at all since sometime in May.

I can still ride her and take lessons on her. But her awesome self is going to owned by two young girls (sisters) who have fallen in love with her while taking lessons on her. She will stay with my instructor, she will be loved and cared for and I will take her back when she is retired.

This will be the first time in 22 years that I have not had a horse. I will still have a barn, but not my own horse. It might not work for me and I might have to buy another. Or I might be perfectly content to train and compete my puppy and ride occasionally.

We’ll see.

What a nice update. Any horse should be so lucky to be loved on by two little girls. Enjoy your newfound time with your puppy.

Every horse deserves to be loved by a little girl. 2 girls, she will be so pampered.

Yeah, I figure this is how we pave the way for the new generation of horse fanatics. She is a wonderful horse and I am sure that she will teach them and keep them safe.
