I like the fit for you a lot! The fit seems okay for your horse, the only thing I would check is the wither clearance while you are seated in the saddle. It looks like it might be a bit tight (looks like 3 fingers are smooshed to fit in the unmounted pic) so would be worthwhile to double check once weight is added.

I don’t think it does, I haven’t had much luck with saddle but I think so far this is the best one

The flap shape is for someone with a shorter femur. It doesn’t seem to fit your leg at all IMO.

Yeah I know but unfortunately I can’t get too picky, this is probably the best fit at the moment unless I find something else but I’ve pretty much tried everything in my budget

As someone with a long femur, who has often struggled with finding a saddle that fits me, I agree with this.

Can you explain a little more about why you think upswept panels would be better for this horse? I know what they are but not why you’d want them vs whatever these are. Also, this saddle looks perfect as far as pommel/cantle heights - the lowest part looks to be right in the middle. Can you explain why you think it’s too low in front?
I’m not that poster, but it looks like the saddle goes past the last rib. Upswept panel may have a better fit on his relatively short back so the panel isn’t getting into the lumbar area.

I think I’ve decided to just try to find a used stubben saddle. Seems like that might be one of the few saddles that could possibly fit him…
