I think me and riding lessons are cursed

This is just a vent thread because come on?
So I’ve been waiting to set up riding lessons for 5 years, finally getting back into it!

First riding lesson, medical emergency in family had to cancel. Second riding lesson, get severe bronchitis, had to cancel.
Finally everyone is healthy, set up for one on Tuesday, get happy.
Diabetes kicks in 2 hours later snd sends me to the ER with a blood sugar of 30, crossing fingers not to be admitted

I just want to ride!!
Sorry for the rant lol

Wow, that’s some string of bad luck. Don’t give up – you know your persistence will be worth it.

You’ll get your chance!

Are you using a CGM? Type 1 for 48 years here. CGM (Dexcom plus Tandem pump) makes riding feel a lot safer. I passed out from low blood sugar while riding once, and had a very bad fall. Wouldn’t happen now with the CGM.

All done! Rode a cute little quarter horse named Trigger.
Lesson turned into a impromptu trail ride because of rain, but they said it was free ride.
Still had tons of fun!!!
Interesting moment when my horse decided to jump over a log lol
