Hope I haven’t bored you to death
Where is this GORGEOUS place you are hunting?
And Castle looks like a really cool pony - the type who is probably worth his weight in gold.
Thanks for sharing your pictures. Looks like a great day! I’m trying to place where you are. It looks like Great Britain, but I thought they’d made hunting illegal.
Castle is a cutie.
I’m from Ireland, hunting isn’t banned here luckily! I hope it never will be either!
Share lots more photos please and thanks!
Ah died and went to Heaven looking at those, first off your pony is adorable and you are not that out grown on him! I have hunted in Ireland, and he looks handy enough to get you through all that dishes out and that horrid black thorn as well.
May I ask who you Hunt with ? and say thanks for sharing.
Ware Whip!
Killing the fox is illegal, foxhunting well chasing, still goes on, drag hunting. At least that is my understanding.
Ware Whip!
Castle is the cutest pony! Love the pictures!
Wow! Fantastic! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks everyone Ware Whip - I currently hunt with the Ormond Foxhounds (in Co. Tipperary), we’re one of the few hunts in Ireland who still use red coats, Castle hunted with the Galway Blazers (sure you know who they are! :D) when he was younger
Wow - I love those pictures! That is the cutest pony. He looks like he knows his job - just hang on and enjoy the ride. You two look good together.
Beautiful country - one of these days I have just got to visit Ireland. I don’t know about 6 bar gates though - do they have a field for silly Yanks who think they can ride?
You MUST visit Ireland Some beautiful parts, and some quite trashy ones too  Barely anyone who hunts with us can actually ride, it’s just a bunch of idiots galloping around
In that case I should fit in just fine!
Yes, absolutely, hunt in Ireland if you can. I was out with the County Louth hounds for a loooooooooooooong day - six hours - on a 20-year-old mare who kept up, kept me safe, and was probably back in the lesson program the following day. And it’s a lot more fun than going out with people who are mostly worried about whether your jacket has one vent, or two, or if it buttons on the wrong side. And then, for the rest of your life, you can drop “when I was hunting in Ireland” into your conversations and everyone here is impressed!
