So someone help me on this…PLEASE! So I have been looking for a used Albion for A LONG TIME now. I have seen ALOT at 17 1/2 or 18 in seats, but not any at 17in seats for under $2000. I need a med or med/wide tree. Why is this sooo difficult!? Any ideas on wher I can look? Believe me, I check Ebay EVERY day. I have also been trying to sell me Prestige 2000D for a while now too…CHEAP! AND in great shape! I tried ebay…didnt work. What works for you guys, buying, and selling…???

I don’t think you’re going to find an Ultima or Platinum for under 2K - don’t see that happening!
You could probably find a SLK for that price range though. Worth trying to list your Prestige again on Ebay, especially as it gets closer to Christmas. I think ebay has a deal going now where you can list up to 5 items a month free.
Think the price range is a problem…I have a Platinum, a 17"…was thinking of selling it two years ago and wouldn’t part with it for a cent under 2800. Its not for sale anymorel

I’d contact saddlers too. Many don’t have time for the web. You never know what they might have on consignment/trade…
If you find what you need in seat size, the actual tree can be changed out if it can’t be modified sufficiently. It was $400 last time I checked for that. Might’ve gone up. In the grand scheme of things, that might be an option if the seat and price are right but tree isn’t.
If anyone finds any 17" or 17.5" Albion with an extra wide tree let me know. I have a 17.5" Legend K2 wide tree I will trade you for it!
Have you tried all the usual used tack stores on the east coast? I’m thinking Trumbull Mountain, Rick’s Heritage, Pelham Saddlery, those sorts of places?
Magik, you can get your current tree widened if that model is the right model for your horse…
I can’t get it widened. Contacted an Albion rep and they said they couldn’t do it.

You are going to hate me, but my wonderful saddle fitter showed up with her truck full of saddles, pulled out a couple of used saddles, among which was a 17" medium wide Albion, that one happened to ‘ride’ the best, then she custom flocked it to my horses, and 30 minutes and $2,000 later it was mine.
She also takes used saddles to sell, and has a free section on her website where people can post their saddles for sale.
It seems you are in IL from your profile so she might be a bit to far away from you to custom flock the saddle you get to your horse but she works with the Albion people and may be able to help you out.

I purchased a brand new Albion Platinum Ultima 17" seat, wide tree 315 less then 2 months ago. Unfortunately it is a bit too big for me and too wide for my horse. If you have an Albion dealer around they can adjust the tree as this Albion is top of the line and adjustable but I don’t have someone to adjust it around here in Canada. So I am selling it to buy another Albion. The seat of the Albion I would say fits more open and I am used to something a bit closer hence needing a 16.5 ".

I’m in IL and I’ve got access to a Albion Style (its the SL) in a 17 inch MW in great shape… priced for about half of the 2k you can’t get below.
Equestrian imports generally has Albions on their website, but contact Ann, she works alot with Albions.
I agree with the others though, it might be hard to find one for 2k-
