Wynn, I knew I was not the only one, by far, who thought of your boy more than once last night. While this must be a difficult time for you, bittersweet at best, you really seem to be doing well and haven’t let it destroy your enjoyment of the sport. That is inspiring in itself.
I talked to Karen before the start, as she was walking the course and she showed me the bracelet. I was looking forward to capturing him competing at the games. I have been shooting from the stands during dressage and have had people from all over the world ask me about Teddy. He touched a lot of people.

I never got to watch Teddy go in person.

As we were watching last night we all agreed how grateful we are that we got to see him go the last two years at Rolex and how much of a gaping hole he has left behind. I will never forget seeing him come over the flower basket and through the water complex that first year. WOW. The single most thrilling/moving experience I have had in my horsey life. I remember looking over at my coach and she was crying and all she could say was “he just pings”.
:[[ run in peace, teddy!! so sad. teddy was such an amazing pony. this thread makes me a little teary!
That amazing little man will be right there with Karen throughout. Helping them get round safely.
Run, Teddy, Run.
The Canadian commentators mentioned him and the fact that Karen was wearing a bracelet!!
I saw him at Rolex in '07 and I will never forget him!
Another one that cried during Karen’s rides. Nothing against Mandiba, but I would have really loved to see The Pony fly again.
