I wish The Pony was there

I never got to watch Teddy go in person. I just figured that it was something that I’d get around to but I sure did love watching the videos of him go. Such a cutie.

I hope you are healing Wynn and that Karen is too.

My daughter had a wonderful lease this summer on a pony that looked very much like your Teddy. He was a hot little guy but a fun ride. She has learned so much on him. In fact, we call him Zigdorable as his name is Ziggy.

Watching all these horses go–and knowing our Ziggy is going home tomorrow–makes me think about Teddy and wishing we could see our America’s Pony.

Run Teddy Run

I miss Teddy, too. I think he represented the best the equestrian world has to offer. Pwynn, thinking of you, and wishing the best for Karen, Max and Mandiba this weekend.

Also wishing everyone the best. I think we should all have a little wine and raise our glasses to that pony.

My daughter and I were just talking about that special pony, yesterday. What a great heart. He would have been a complete rock star at the Olympics. What a sad loss.

I was just sitting here watching the eventing dressage and thinking how much I wish Teddy was there…

To all involved, know that you are in our hearts!

Yes, I was missing him today too.

me too

I just watched the rides of the eventing dressage and gosh, would Teddy have livened things up or what?

Miss him much!

As we all kniow Teddy he is over that bridge watching! Or perhaps he is doing the test with a buck or two thrown in for good measure! Being the competitor he was he cannot resist!

Miss you Teddy Boy!

Me too.

I went to the county Fair yesterday, and of course all the 4H kids have to have posters demonstrating something about horses - different breeds, what they eat, different colors - to show and share their knowledge.

One of them had made a poster about Olympic horse sports and the biggest picture on the poster was of Karen and Teddy. I nearly started bawling on the spot.

He was a great one, wynn. I’m so glad we got to share just a little bit of him.

, you guys made me tear up reading this.

That really would have made for an amazing 2008 Olympics.

gah…I’m such a softie (welling up - can’t type)

Thank you for your thoughts, everyone. When I spoke to Karen Thursday evening she told me that someone had made for her a bracelet of Teddy’s hair (they had preserved some). She’s wearing it throughout the Games.

OK now that made me cry!

Miss him!

:cry:Made me cry too!

I have a photo of Teddy in my cubicle at work and one on my counter at home. He is definitely in my thoughts during the Olympics. Thinking of you too Wynn…

Sooo sad…tears flowing down here in FL reading this post too! How sweet that Karen is wearing his bracelet. I can only imagine how hard this all must be for Pnynnorman…
I sure wish Teddy were there too!!!

What a wonderful way for Teddy to be able to compete at the Olympics!! You know he will be riding along on Mandiba for XC!!:sadsmile:

I have a feeling Teddy will be there carrying everyone on his wings for a SAFE HOME.

Many tears here too. He is so missed.

Just last week the BO’s horse crazy 11 year old daughter was saying how she wished she had a Teddy Breyer. I told her how sad it was that he was gone, and she looked like she was going to cry. Apparently she had no idea about his death. :frowning:

I think there are a lot of 11 year old heartbroken little girls out there, wishing that their pony idol was China right now.

 I feel the same way and I’m 44

Like the OP… thought I would have a chance to see him go in person, then root for him in the Olympics. He is missed, I could tell people about the pony to draw them into the passion in the sport. Anyone could understand and listen.
