Hi I have been riding for most of my life and I have lived in a Fox Hunting area for the past 20 years. For some reason over the past two years I have gotten the bug to joint the hunt. The local area hunt is Wayne Dupage in Illinois. It is a drag hunt and that is about all I know. How would I go about getting involved with the local hunt. Thanks in advance for any advice.
According to the Hunt Roster visitors are permitted to hunt. For details contact the Masters. Phone numbers are given in the roster. If you don’t have access to a copy, PM me and I’ll pass the info along.
I would check with the Wanye Dupage Hunt Pony Club officers to see if they can give you some contact information for the hunts secretary. You can find this information by doing an Internet search.
If you’ve never been before, call the hunt’s secretary and see if you can come out to car follow. This will give you an idea of what it’s like and what you will need to do to prepare yourself and your horse. They may have fox hunting clinics in the summer to help get you started.

If you don’t hear from Wayne Du Page, come hunt with Mill Creek! We’re North of Chicago - just north of Gurnee. We do have members who drive up from the Barrington area though so you might be able to catch a ride. Just call the secretary or one of the masters. We’d love to have you. We’ve had a GREAT season this year with lots of great runs on coyotes and new members.
But you better hurry… the season is quickly winding down.
