Poor lil sweetheart has become progressively more lame for no apparent reason this past week. It’s Lyme season for him and he’s seen the vet, tested, medicated, etc.
What I need from the CoTH community is suggestions on icing this little Thelwell type guy. He’s maybe 30" at the wither and limbs are very short. I have a set of ice boots I’m loaning the owner to use that are flexible enough to work on the whole back limb, but the hip is a problem.
I suggested an ice boot or larger gel cooling pack in a small-hole hay net that she could lay over his back and loosely tie in place, but it’s going to be awkward.
Shy of cold hosing, anyone else have any suggestions for icing a mini from hip down on one limb? I think his cannon bone is all of 5"…
