Ideas for Jumper Stallion

I’m thinking about breeding my mare, who is a 12 year old Canadian Warmblood (Hannoverian and Westfalen lines). She is big and athletic. The biggest flaw is that she can be spooky and nervous, so my #1 thing I’m looking for is a great, quiet brain.

A few people suggested breeding her to a nice athletic stock-horse type to help quiet the mind, and I don’t hate that idea. I do the jumpers, but I don’t have grand illusions of getting into the GP ring anymore. I’d love the baby to be easier and more straightforward than she’s been over being an athletic freak. I’d found a palomino stud that did the jumpers that was really nice, but I can’t find him anymore.

I’m open to warmblood ideas, too. I’m new to this part of the game, so feel free to ask for whatever info I’ve missed giving!

My mare is 17h, and I don’t really want something bigger, so the huge stallions are out.

Pictures, videos and pedigree would help a lot.

Yes helpful to know more on the pedigree and pictures. We have Navarone here who throws awesome jumpers and the best brain you can ask for. He goes well with a big mare. But really need to know more on pedigree and pictures too. Frozen or fresh? Are you in Canada?

Here’s some pictures, pedigree and video.

I have no suggestions from personal use, but it seems like there a lot of mild mannered (started and trained by AAs) Cunningham babies. He is very easy on the eyes, is quite athletic and has the Cassini I blood I love. Also, the picture of the pedigree is too small/ blurry to read (at least on my laptop).

Is this her sire?

@Skyline yes, that’s her sire.

@kaya842 thank you for the suggestion! Her sire is Regardez and her dam is Asta II (Apache/Eve On [Westfalen]). People tend to think she’s TB, and she is a bit hot to ride - mentally, anyway. She does have thoroughbred on the dam side 4 generations back.

Navarone can put on a super brain and would go well with her type. He is available fresh and super quality. www.majesticgaits.com

I bred my hot TB jumper to Checkmate and I’m really happy with the outcome. Her baby is super chill, confident and independent. I’m hoping he’ll be a jumper, but he’s a very nice mover too.

Take a look at several Www.eurequine.com choices, thinking lord Adonis, or Escher could be great for several points you mentioned

Thank you guys!!

I would look for something with Capitol I lines or Quite Easy who is a fantastic stallion out of the Capitol I damline
