Identifying Hunt Colors HELP :)

With all the wonderful, knowledgeable people on this BB I have a feeling someone will know the name of the rider and also the name of the hunt.

I acquired three fabulous sidesaddle habits and am trying to identify one that has a maker label from 1955 and the name Mrs. E.A. Robertson. Old issues of the Chronicle apparently have photos of her jumping and hunting sidesaddle.

My quick research show she may also have owned a notable racehorse.

The hunt colors are a carmel color, the fabric is what some people refer to as “no-whale corduroy”… sort of flat but with a nubby texture.

Think one photo is of her as CH at Piping Rock? And one of the hunt team photos may identify her at or as a member of Meadow Brook which I believe was on Long Island, NY but no longer active.

Any help with identify her items would be helpful.

well, rull out Meadow Brook

I just did more digging and from what I’ve found their colors were “robin’s egg blue”…

So which hunt had the caramel color?

If you want to see a photo of what I’m trying to identify, I can email it to you…

Fairfax is “Old Gold”.
Essex is “Mustard”
Miami Valley is “Old Gold”
Piedmont is “Old Gold”
Santa Fe is “Sutter Gold”
Santa Ynez is “Straw Yellow”
Sedgefield is “Burnt Orange”
Tanheath is “Tan”
Wellington Waterloo is “Gold”

Equibrit - Many thanks for the great information. I knew I could count on the COTH BB to have the facts. I’m in touch with the Essex Hunt and am waiting to hear if the owner of the sidesaddle habit was indeed a member. You gave me the facts I needed to get started with my research

Wellington Waterloo is Gold with Kelly Green trim

just my 2 sense!!

Not that I’m an expert but…you know the famed Beaufort Hunt in England has buff or beige colors too…hmmmmm…
