fwiw you can also breed a registered tb mare to a licensed kwpn stallion, and the resulting foal would be eligible for kwpn registration.
What about the American Warmblood Registry? If you bred a TB to one of their stallions, could you register it with them?
fairly certain you could register with them without breeding to one of their stallions. pretty sure you could register with them if you just found a baby in your field one day.
The TB registered mare doesn’t have to be approved for breeding through an inspection for the foal to be eligible to be registered KWPN? (I’ve never bred a warmblood, so don’t quite understand the ins and outs.)
No, not for KWPN she doesn’t.
Then if you want to breed that foal in the future, would she need to be approved for breeding? Or would her babies be automatically registerable as long as the stallion is KWPN approved? Thank you for answering my questions!
No, a kwpn or other warmblood mare has to be approved for breeding with kwpn or an erkend registry.
funny I know
