If you have multiple usernames you would like combined into one...

… fill out this form:

Indicate the username you want to KEEP in the first box, and then list any other usernames you have in the subsequent blanks. The other accounts will be combined into the first, so that all posts made under any of those accounts will be listed under the first account. All settings for the first account will be kept; the other accounts will be deleted.

If you have a premium membership on any of your accounts, KEEP that account and merge the others into it; otherwise, you will lose your premium membership.

Since I never received an email reply beyond the redirect (which didn’t do me any good because I had tried everything without success, can someone tell me if this is still possible?

I basically got the redirect because I guess no one wants to talk to those of us who are unable to successfully retrieve our old accounts. As stated in the original directions: “PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL ME IF YOU HAVE NOT FOLLOWED ALL OF THESE INSTRUCTIONS. The vast majority of issues will be solved if you follow these directions. If you email me saying “it doesn’t work” or “I can’t log in,” I am simply going to refer you here.”

Based upon that, there’s no recourse. I know my issue was that my email address was out of date, and I can’t remember the birthdate I listed. (I’ll admit it, I lied. I didn’t want to have everyone know my birth year. It’s a woman thing. I’m also so old I can’t remember the information I did put down.)

So, is there any way to get this merged? Will anyone tell me? Or do I just keep on going with the new alter and forget the old one?

It asks what email address you want on the account, and what accounts you want to be merged together. Seems to me like that would solve your problem right there…

Your Velvet account was already changed to the Yahoo address, BTW.

I didn’t see that the address had been changed. Now that it has, as you can see, I’m back!

I’m not sure if everyone sees that as a good thing or not, but I am back.
