Just wondering what the current cost of IM Altrenogest is? Is there a difference in affordability of 12 day vs 30 day? Any suggestions on the most efficient/cost effective way to order? I currently purchase it through my vet, but have not received my invoice for the month yet. Am getting nervous about the $$. I have always used oral Regumate in the past. Thank you!

Have you used it yet? I decided not to based on the viscosity of the product and the gauge needle recommended and the volume necessary. We did one try and my mare was pretty sore. Won’t be doing that every week! If I recall it was pretty expensive. Much easier on both the pocket book and the poor horse to stick with the liquid.
I have not used the IM, weighing the options. I would prefer the liquid as well, but not sure (yet) if barn will feed it.
My mare is on the monthly shot and I get it from BET for 140.00 a shot
If you have the trigger pump attachment for the bottle it may be easier for your barn staff to dose and give it properly.
