Okay, my spam was from Dec 24th, I see that this has been resolved, I can’t delete or edit my post still.
From Mod1 on 12/12 in a related thread
I received an update from the tech people. From what I gather, they had to perform an unplanned update to the site’s software to protect against future hacking issues. They’re now having to sort of work backwards to address all of the compatibility issues with our site’s set-up that normally would have been addressed behind the scenes if it was a planned update.
The glitches are going to be addressed. We’re not going to be stuck with a semi-functional site, but the circumstances necessitating the update have resulted in a less smooth than normal update experience, for which we apologize!
Thanks for your patience…seriously…we appreciate and share the annoyance!

It’s getting OLD
Busy, the IT staff is working on a future, planned software upgrade. It will be installed when it is installed. Sounds like there is some amount of unwillingness, of which I agree with, to expend limited resources on an issue that will soon be phased out…
We’re all dealing with it. I suspect complaining won’t help speed the process
Yes ! WMW - I can and have read the updates through the last month and a half.
At first they were fixing then they were hacked then installing a new system.
Thank you for clarifying the process.
Wishing you a Happy New Year !

Apparently they’ve been working on a totally revamped main site/forums for a while, unbeknownst to some of us. Then we were hacked, so they had to upgrade the current site’s software platform to guard against future attacks, which I believe introduced the glitches we’re experiencing.
Because they’re expending a lot of time, effort and resources to build the new site, I gather they don’t want to do the same to troubleshoot all the glitches on the current site, which will soon be obsolete…which is a big hassle, but basically understandable, at least from my perspective.
I suppose in the end it’ll make us all appreciative of all the days when everything works like a charm and we don’t even think twice about it!
Thanks for your patience. Hopefully, in the end, we’ll have an even more secure site that functions even better than it did before.
