yeah, but it’s so way down from what it was. He chased and killed their bouncy ball sometime this morning, so i suppose he’s feeling better too. I didn’t actually see him do it, just saw the ‘remains’. lol. She doesn’t play with it, so it prob was him. Unless one of the mommies took it upon themself to get rid of the annoying thing… lol
I love the dapples on your palomino mare!
They grow up so fast. It was a mistake with enjoyment and learning! Lucky horses that are growing up very natural and with a good human connection.
Does Hazel have curly blonde foal camo right now? Swoon
Yesss on the back of his legs from knees down to heels. The rest of him has shed out into what i expect to be his true colors??? Bright bay. Some areas of his body, that with longer hair, has a waviness to it. Short haired parts are smooth now. I expect he’ll be pretty curly come winter coat.
my little big man
i moved the mares and foals into the yard compound in order to do some trailer loading training
At dinner time i had no idea where they were so i called and they ran around like crazy because they did not know where i was calling from. Finally they figured it out…they were kinda surprised at the whole circuit they made to find me. lol. Anyway, at the end of this video you can see how round and HORSE-looking those two babies have gotten. They are like miniature horses…not foals anymore. It is funny how low they have to go to nurse! …but of course they still do. Here’s the vid, you may want to make the sound OFF cause i holler for them…
now that the mares and foals have the run of our compound i have a little bit of trouble getting away from them LOL. Here’s me after morning feeding trying to get back to the house to get a cup of coffee…
and here is my beautiful Hazel-rah chowing-down
(today he’s “beautiful”…some days he’s goaty lookin’ lol)
I’m a big fan of baby Roslyn
I took pics of both Roslyn’s right and left eye this evening and i’m glad to see that the amount of sclera is pretty much the same in both eyes.
Roslyn looks like when she was getting all her white applied, she kept trying to wiggle away!
lol. she’s irregularly marked indeed!
all i do is feed, feed, feed…and all they do is eat, eat, eat
i feed alfalfa in the morning, they graze during the day, i feed pellets in the evening, and they graze til bedtime. Then they awaken at dawn and go right to grazing again.
Attack of THE NOSE!!
Roslyn is so pretty.
She’s sweet and very feisty. ‘SweetTart’
Stop nitpicking the poor kid! Time enough for that when he actually has something to be critical about.
Wait till he is a yearling or coming 2----- some can be very different from their beautiful baby days.
Some never look bad at all.
I think he looks wonderful.
