My vet is a nice young man. He is kind and gentle with all my animals and they usually like him. The vet’s assistant, a gigantic brawny man, did a ‘hand twitch’ on both the youngsters because i wouldn’t let him hang on to their halters. I ended up sending the vet and the clinic that wonderful colored foal-growth picture. (i’ll put it here too) to show them why i stopped them from hanging onto halters. We vaccinated the dams and a few of the mustangs. We’ll do our big push and finish vaccinations and do teeth in November. I just wanted to get vaccine in these youngsters…especially if i travel them back to that barn where i train with my coach. I shouldn’t have taken him the day before his appointment…it was a risk. But he wasn’t within 50 feet of any other horses…
I love the look on his face. It reminds me of a kid who isn’t happy about having to start school after summer vacation
She thought those days were behind her, lol.
Wannabe stay-at-home mom.
Set a better example for the kid, Brenna!
She’s teaching him all about passive resistance
What is Hazel transplanting?
They were hanging around close to the barn because of horseflies. A little bit later, they headed off into their pasture to graze and spend the night.

I’m so enjoying these two
Thanks for sharing them with us Connie.
Rereading this thread is so hard. She loved these, her “puppies”, so much. I am hoping they have a safe landing.
The linked thread has been removed, or at least I can’t see it.
I understand that it was sad news, if true. My first reaction was to hope it was a mistake.
Is it appropriate to share facts (if any) at this point? If not, that’s fine.
Lovely ponies, beautiful farm, inspired management, generous sharing, big loss (if true).
