I just saw this on FB, and came over to post the link! Thanks jollytrak, and thanks everyone for the kind comments and congrats.
I’m so proud of this little mare, and so happy for her breeder/owners, Don and Anita Leschied and Jess and her team.

A quick update:

A Little Romance was just named Horse of the Year by the OHTA (Ontario Horse Trials Association).
I am very pleased for her rider, Jess Phoenix, and her owners and breeders - the Leschieds.

Wow fred, that is wonderful news! Huge congratulations to you and alr!!!

Thank you everyone for the kind comments and congratulations.
I am so happy for her breeders. The breeders are the ones who invest their time, money, hard work and emotions, and take the risks, right from the beginning.
Her dam was their daughter’s event mare, and when it came time to retire her, IIRC they asked Peter Gray for a stallion suggestion, and he recommended A Fine Romance.
I am really pleased for them and for Jess Phoenix and their team, it is great to see hopes and dreams and hard work come to fruitition.

Her determination reminds me of Headley Brittania, the little mare that could. I LOVE Tbs for eventing and Trakehners as well. I have owned both…
What is she doing now?

Oh I love Headley Brittania. thank you!
A Little Romance came back from France after the WEG Trials, and I am assuming she has been having a bit of time off, before heading back down south for the winter competition season.

What a jump!

How did she do in Europe?

Oh, she’s lovely. Just my sort of mare.

Just another bump up to say I just saw that Fred has 2 offspring on the long list for the Canadian Eventing team!

A Little Romance - Jessica Phoenix
A First Romance - Selena O’Hanlon

Thank you Polydor - I am very proud of those two offspring.
Congratulations to all the horses and their connections.
Love Ginny Juice!!

Thanks again for the kind comments about A Little Romance, I love her jumping style too.
I may have posted a link to her winning round at last year’s Indoor Eventing at the Royal Winter Fair. She just rocks around that course!
