I'm so excited and I just can't hide it!

When your husband says it’s either a new car this year or a new tractor and you pick the tractor without hesitation…woohoo!!! It gets delivered later this week and I’m just a giddy gal!! We went with a Kubota L4701 47HP (were looking for 50 HP but felt the MX series at 52 HP was probably too big and more than we needed).
Small hobby horse farm with 3.5 horses and 21 acres.

My first planned job upon delivery is to smooth out an area to finally put up my round pen! Any advice on using a box blade for this purpose!? Any other newbie tractor tips welcome!

Congratulations !! Enjoy !!!

A pony, maybe?

You can smooth ground with a blade on the back, or with the bucket.

Congratulations on your tractor, that was a wonderful choice!

In my case, a mini donkey  She’d be so offended if she knew I called her that.

Congratulations! I got my first tractor 21 years ago and still use it almost every day! It is one of those tools that once you have it you cannot believe you lived without it!

I just bought the same thing last month! Already have 30 hours on it

AND,I just smoothed an area for my roundpen!

I used the box blade and dropped it all the way down on the high end, and lifted it up a bit on the low side of the pen. After that, just drove round and round with the blade leveling it out the rest of the way!
