What is your favorite impact pad? I do the jumpers and have a custom saddle for my horse so I just want an impact pad. My Ogilvy half pads are too bulky and just not necessary. I like the Equifit Impac Teq but would rather not pay $270 if there is something similar out there for less.

I really like those older gelite half pads (if you can find them!) I misplaced mine and I’m still kicking myself.

I just got the CWD one, I think it might be new? It’s a more breathable pad and I like that it has the wither cut out.

I have an Invictus pad (with shim option) and am a huge fan. My sensitive TB mare with kissing spine approves. It’s slim, attractive, easy to use, and I like that I can add shims for some extra lift. The sans shim option is less expensive. I also recently got her a Sedelogic s-curve pad to try and so far, she also approves of that model - it fits nicely under her semi-custom saddle without changing the fit. It does seem to be more difficult to get it lined up exactly in the right spot under the saddle but I like the material and the cut. I managed to snag one someone was selling second hand due to poor fit under her saddle, otherwise those suckers are EXPENSIVE.

I love my Invictus pads! Definitely my favorite, though I still occasionally use my Mattes, Fleeceworks, or Ecogold pads if I need a little more between the saddle and horse.
