Importing weanlings

I’m curious to hear about your experience importing weanlings. What agent did you use? What was the cost? How did the youngsters handle the stress? Are the quarantine requirements different for fillies/colts/geldings (like they are for adults)? Is it better to wait until they’re older to ship them over? Any other helpful tips (besides buy in the US — which I’ve tried to do but can’t find what I’m looking for and/or can’t get the breeders to give me the time of day)?

If we’re talking Europe, and specifically CEM quarantine, any horse under 731 days that has never been bred is exempt from CEM quarantine regardless of sex.

Thanks, yes, Europe. I talked to a shipping company and it sounds like the requirements for any horse under the age of 2 has the same quarantine requirements as an adult gelding (3 days).
