Impromptu lunch in Ocala (which ain't in VA)

So is anyone else down here in central FL tired of reading about lunch in Warrenton?

No offense girls, I’m glad you enjoyed your lunch --I’m just jealous!

So, if you can’t join 'em, beat 'em!

Anyone interested in an impromptu lunch in Ocala?

I moved to FL a year and some ago, and it has been an adventure finding everything from feed to farriers. So I’d love to meet some locals.

How about next March? I’ve got a conference in Orlando then

Brief hijack- Aside from the Arabian Nights show, what other equine sights are in the area?

Just moved to Jacksonville but not that far from of you. Would love establish horsey contacts over lunch!

Deana

Sounds great! Count me in! Asanders, we can hitch a ride together ;-). No one else wants to join? As much fun as going to Ocala would be, I have lunch with Asanders several times a week anyway and would like some new people to blab about ponies with!

We are fun…and we don’t bite…ok, I don’t. Asanders might if you ask her sweetly

I am only 20 mins.from you[A sanders].

I’m game midweek.

What?? A horse-related excuse to leave work early?? Yippie!

Warrenton’s got nothin’ on High Springs or Alachua. Would one of those work?

Let me know if ya’ll set a date and time. I’m always game to drive to Ocala for the day and go in the tackshops. Lunch with some new friends would be good too:)

Count me in too!

I never need an excuse to hit the tack shops - but a real sit down lunch, well, that’s the best excuse to get off the farm!!

What about the 14th which would be a Wed. I think my friend is off on WEds and could drive down with me.(I’d have to find out for sure)

OK, so nobody is really IN ocala anyway…

Anyone want to meet up in High Springs for lunch on the 14th, and then heck, your half way to Ocala anyway, if anyone wants to hit the tack stores in the afternoon, I’m ALWAYs up for that.

If you tell me where to go, My friend and I will come to lunch. You can PT me or email me.Make it early so we can still fly down to Ocala.

And y’all waited til I was back in NY (ugh)! Try for a autumn meeting and I am THERE!!! I need to meet some hunting folks in North Central Fl so my hunt horse has a job when I get back down home!:D:D:winkgrin:

PS there is a FREEZE warning here tonight!!! GACK!!! WHY did I leave Citra???

I’m game! High Springs is my back yard!

If you decide to have the lunch in Ocala I would love to join you.
I moved to Florida three years ago from Sweden with my horses
and still have so much to learn about the US equestrian life!

Wed works for me too! Cant wait!

i’m in as well. i am just outside of ocala in williston. that would be the weds. before i leave for georiga to show in a 3 day event. always up for lunch and the tack stores. (even though i was there yesterday  )

Sorry…I’ve been in Fl for 30 years and I 'm hear to say…Warrenton has miles and miles and much more over Ocala!!" IMO…having visited there several times recently!!

Having said that…we have to work with what we have!! Sorry…would love to meet up with the Gals in Fl’s horse haven but I’m afraid I’m yet much further to the south…where no one should be with horses!! sigh

Be there or be square…

So, here it is folks:

Let’s meet on Main Street in Alachua in front of Conastoga’s (http://www.conestogasalachua.com/) at noon on May 14. We can pick a spot for noshing from there (about 5 places to choose from).

It’s only 2 minutes off 75 (closer than High Springs), so those that want to head for the Ocala Tack Tour after lunch can get a good start. I’m certainly up for that!

I’ll plan on coming. May be by myself, my friends plans changed.
