In a "nutshell"; Every Nation (and their Governing Body) Must Now Police the FEI..

Also read as “France will do it, because we all know the FEI won’t”

Because the French feel the understandable need to take matters into their own hands, since FEI vets found this horse fit to compete. http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/news/thin-endurance-horse-passed-fit-race-horrifies-riders/

The French people don’t want the FEI making that kind of asinine call at the WEGs, on their home turf, and who can blame them?

Honestly I can’t pretend to be surprised, but just wondering how long this will drag on,until horses (and horse people) trump the FEI (and the UAE money that now shouts from every decision made by the FEI regarding endurance “racing”).

Hopefully it won’t be long now.

The FEI doesn’t want to piss off the rich UAE arabs (who sponsor lots of stuff) and who are in the heiarchy of the FEI and muslims…too many bad things are hinted at potentially happening when fellow muslims are “insulted” with unfair decisions.

I’d be embarrassed to show up at any competition with a drugged-up boneyard of a poor horse. No real surprise though.

Well, the FEI has taken action http://www.chronofhorse.com/article/second-yellow-card-suspends-sheikh-mohammed-bin-mubarak-al-khalifa
albeit only after the first abuse was shown on the internet. Apparently the stewards didn’t notice at the time…

Sad to see the FEI turned into such dhimis for the Arabs. How brave and sad of them…two whole months for this behaviour. What a slap on the wrist.

Depressing.

But hey! there’s a job going at FEI:

Can’t say the French aren’t wrong. Take a look at the FEI Discipline lists and tell me that the Middle Eastern male endurance riders have no respect for any rules at all or for the horse.

Under Princess Haya, the FEI has sold its soul to the Middle East. Longines is a Middle Eastern company, and the FEI dumped Rolex after how many years, with so many venues unwilling to dump Rolex for the FEI. There was an article or a post that one reason the KHP didn’t get the 2018 WEG is because it has a contract until 2020 with Rolex and couldn’t/wouldn’t dump them for the FEI and Longines.
