Oh, and the debate begins! I’ve had my eye on buying a One K helmet for a while now, and I was waiting until July 12th for Helmet Awareness Day. But I have no idea what the discount then will be, and 20% (for USEF members) off now sounds pretty good…

Well if it helps, SmartPak excludes Charles Owen from their 4th of July sale… :-/ Still, I LOVE SmartPak and will always buy through them if at all possible! And CO should be discounted for the Helmet Day…

The helmet manufacturers generally get to set their own brand discounts for Helmet Day. Charles Owen is very vocal in their support of the day, and they usually get a hefty discount on Helmet Day, 20-25% in the past.

And I just went through the check-out procedure and the One K helmets aren’t included in the sale either. Hopefully will be included in the helmet day sale.

Manufacturers often do not allow discounts determined by retailers and set their own allowed discounts for specific days. CO allows discounts during one month in the winter (January?) and probably because they want retailers to unload their stock and order the new models and merchandise. And almost all of the helmet manufacturers allow discounts on Helmet Awareness Day
When will we know about the exact discount for Helmet Awareness Day? Do they wait until that day to disclose them?

Yes, but CO was specifically listed in SmartPak’s email as being excluded. One K was not. Not a big deal to me since Helmet Day is in a week, but mildly annoying to go through the checkout process before finding this out.
Only mildly. I still love SmartPak and their customer service.

It’s so funny - I’m waffling on purchasing something I’ve wanted forever from SmartPak during their sale, but the instant I saw the Higher Standards sale, I immediately went and purchased the Viva Carlos scent! (I’ve finally started to make a dent in ONE of the four soaps I already have!)

I tried to use the SmartPak code, but it only gave me $10 off a $119 order. The top of their website says 20%. Check the amount before you place the order! I am a USEF member, so maybe it isn’t functioning well with that discount?
Uckele is offering 10% off everything and free shipping over $150, so I stocked up on ulcer and anhydrosis supps. I want to buy something fun instead, sigh.
