Individual Showjumping- Spoilers to come

I doubt it. He and Kappler did the same thing in Athens in our jump off for silver with Switzerland? We were so fast, they conceded.

And who/how is Frank Fleischhacker in there? He judges?

YAY YAY YAY YAY YAY !!!

the flying Yann Candele
who now has his Canadian citizenship and is riding for Sue Grange…

future Canadian Team member?

Kim, I was at the Capital Classic or whatever it is called for the two weeks it was on here in Ottawa. Ian was no where to be found on either weeks. He was in Hong Kong. Jonathon and Amy were here for the first week, but left after the conclusion of the first week to go watch their dad in Hong Kong. Jay was here, as was Peter Leone, the flying Yann Candele, John Pearce, Mario was here for the first week, but no Ian and no Jill and no other Canadian team member. They were already in Hong Kong
Beg to differ, him and Beth had a news conference there. He was there as spokesperson for the show, not to ride. He was leaving on an 8:00 pm flight on Friday I believe.

I wondered what had happened to him!!! Glad to know he is here and not gone back to France!!!
Just ordered my Royal Winter Fair tickets today!!! Eric has to be there!!!

Am I the only one wondering how to buy that cream colored fence and turn it into a one of a kind bed?
Huh, it reminded me more of something that would be used in a bed rather than a bed itself.

No idea, I don’t even know if they are related. I always just knew Ashland Stables to be for Ashley and I believe John is her dad.

THAT was a competition! Hats off to ALL the riders…really impressive stuff! And thanks to COTH for letting me catch it on NBC today, otherwise I would have missed the whole thing…

Being from Hunterland I didn’t even KNOW you could jump the decoration and fill and still be considered on course! That was a ballsy move, and very showy!

And may I say how impressed I was that Eric Lamaze and the Canadian Team allowed the commentators to ADMIT he had been barred from two Olympics for substance abuse problems?! Stating that in public, then showing how being clean can change things, may be even more of a public service than his riding, and truly classy IMO.

Great show!

The National Capital Show Jumping Tournament, which was produced and managed by Hayes Co (Jay and Shawn Hayes and their three daughters) opened at the Nepean National Equestrian Park in Ottawa on Wednesday, Aug. 6, with a press conference that featured Ian Millar as the honourary chair of the Tournament. He left for Hong Kong very early the next morning.

PS KUDOs to Hays Co…classy and FUN show…I had a great time being a show groom (I’m from the hackney world so I was trying to make the feet really white and shiney)

LOL it’s not exactly a secret! It made all the papers and news broadcasts here and has been talked about frequently in the media leading up to these Olympics.

No relation at all.

Your Horse Jumps the Bushes Beautifully!

LOL - did anyone hear Ludger B say that to Beezie M?

Seriously, I was wondering if that was actually legal (?) not sure if there is a rule, but I know you can’t jump a jump that’s not part of the course so…

However I will give the trophy to McLain Ward (and the couple others that followed) for absolute bravery and giving it your all at the olympics!

No. But I’m guessing too much change, too quickly, too decisively?

Sometimes that is the best way to administer medicine… <g>

I was thinking of all the pithy pickup lines it would inspire: “Is that an Oxer in your bed, or are you just glad to see me?”

or today: “My liverpool has sprung a leak, can you help me plug it?”

If you are talking about the Frank F from MN, no relation. His father was Frank Sr. (now deceased) and his brother Andy and sister Alice were the only kids.

TRDD…LOVE YOUR SIGNATURE. Maybe we should start a petition ?! But really, when MacLain jumped that I let out a yell, and hubby (greenie horsie guy) says, hey is that legal (he’s also a retired lawyer LOL)…I thought it was brilliant!

Kim

Oh good, I’m glad to see I am not the only one. The few, the proud, the gutter minded…
