Individual Showjumping- Spoilers to come
I doubt it is. I don’t even think Eric knows his father. He was raised by his grandmother?.. anyway, if memory serves me right, there was no father in his childhood! I think you are referring to Torchy Millar (no relation to Ian), the Canadian chef d’équipe.

I loved the tears and emotion during the anthem. And my !#$ PVR stopped taping at noon and I could not restart it. I ll have to tape the ceremony tonight because it is bound to be shown again!!!
No, he doesn’t know his father. Bold is showing it again tonight at 5:45 (the entire thing) so cue that PVR.

O right on! I believe your right! Thanks for the info!

jetsetter I love your sig line!

Well,

My signature has touted Hickstead from the beginning. Just before Ian and co left for HongKong they were here in Ottawa at the Capital Classic. Eric came up in conversation and there was nothing but major kudos and support for him and Hickstead. I think Jay Hayes stated that Eric continually gives all the credit to Hickstead, but remember, Hickstead was tooo small for a Jumper and Eric and him have CLICKED. Can’t wait for the Royal, i’m showing there, so must sneak out late at night to watch in awe when he practices and maybe still a piece of Hicky’s poop LOLOL.

Really though, congrats to Canada and our neighbours the US of A…the North Americans have thrown down the guantlet, making show jumping the most exciting it has been in years.

Tomorrow morning will be such a let down.

Its been fun, cheering and sobbing for all, what a wonderful day for Eric and me LOL

Kim
Hickstead lover, in case you haven’t figured it out

Forgive me if this has already been asked, I haven’t read all the pages of this topic, but is Hickstead owned by the Fleischacker family of Minnesota? I could have sworn I saw Mrs. F in the celebration at the ingate after Eric’s amazing peerformance.

little information …

about swedish silver medallion.
since 1932 have sweden not had any medallion at invidual jumping untill Ralf-Goran Bengtsson and Ninja so this silver was historical.

well done from all 3 and other riders …

Congrats Sweden, you made it very exciting for us Canadians

We too have had no medals (Ian Millar tried 9 Olympics before his silver) so it makes it that much more special!

Yay to us canada and sweden  and many more medallions to come in future hopefully

haha thanks so much!!!

That sucks. Lucky for us (and sadly, for you) not everyone had commercials. It depended on what market you are from. Remember when you had to enter our zip code and cable provider when you logged in? A handful of that areas sold commcercials.
I think it’s a buffer for slower connection speeds. I only get commericals when I’m using a lot of bandwidth.

I thought it was Ashland Farms and Torrey Pines. Is that old info?

I thought so too, but the info I posted is off the Bejing site itself under horse profile. But either way, he really is MINE LOL
I can’t remember if it was Athens or Sydney where several of them jumped a large rock to save time.
In Athens they jumped some rock or shrub (i.e., course decoration) to save time. It was very clever.

Ashland Stables (not to be confused with Ashland Farm) is owned by the Fleischhacker family.

Torrey Pines is Eric’s farm

I don’t know who Torrey Pines is, but Ashland is owned by the Fleischhackers

Aahh…thanks for clearing that up!

Do they have a website?

I got a bit curious about our silver representant Ninja la Silla’s breeding and found this. Ninja and authentic share something

Ninja La Silla KWPN (Guidam - Lys de Darmen), Authentic KWPN (Guidam - Katell xx).Noblesse Oblige (Armani) KWPN (Guidam - Ramiro Z), Luidam KWPN (Guidam - Akteur) .

Kim, I was at the Capital Classic or whatever it is called for the two weeks it was on here in Ottawa. Ian was no where to be found on either weeks. He was in Hong Kong. Jonathon and Amy were here for the first week, but left after the conclusion of the first week to go watch their dad in Hong Kong. Jay was here, as was Peter Leone, the flying Yann Candele, John Pearce, Mario was here for the first week, but no Ian and no Jill and no other Canadian team member. They were already in Hong Kong
