inexpensive but custom chaps?

is there anything out there less than $200? alternately, anyone recommend off the shelf with a wide VARIETY of calf and height sizes?

Half chaps or full chaps? ProChaps have very nice leather half chaps under $200, with calf sizes XXS-XXL and five or so different heights. You order by color + calf size + height, so you can order a XXS-19" height, or a XXL-15", and so on.

Barnstable might fit the bill for full chaps, if that is what you need.

If you are looking for half chaps, look at the Ovation Precision Fit or Tredstep Deluxe half chaps.

so sorry HALF chaps  left that important detail out…

I have had several pair of the leather Tredstep Deluxe, they come in a ton of height and calf sizes, practically every combination you can think of. Grand Prix used to have just as extensive a selection as Tredstep.

Seconding Tredstep Deluxe. A large variety of height and width combos with pretty good quality that lasts.

I bet you can find some customs for just about $200 without any bells and whistles, just custom measurements. Check out www.TurningPointLeather.com. I think Nancy’s start $175.

saw hers and yeah I can probaby go up to 300 - just sold her journeymens so that gives me some $$

Tenney’s start at $250, if you can wiggle to $300

If 250/300 is an inexpensive custom half chap, what do expensive half chaps set you back? Not being snarky, I’m truly curious.

You can spend upwards of $700-1500 easy at Pinnells. Our journeyman half chaps cost $330 with the options we got and I was hoping to be less than that…
