I am looking for information about this rescue operation, especially
the location and if anyone has had dealings with the owner, Patti?

She’s been evicted about a month ago. Was located at 27035 122nd St, Trevor, Wisconsin.
If you think it is ok for a rescue to have:
Six horses living outside through the last two winters with no shelter at all, not even a tree, but would not adopt them.
Hooves not trimmed in 6-8 months.
Manure in stalls 3 feet deep (I took pictures of this, with mushrooms growing out of the pile)
Horses in the barn not let out of stalls for months at a time
I am a bit biased, she owes me money too.
But, all of this is ‘legal’ in Wisconsin, as long as you have a bucket of water and a bale of moldy hay.

What are you waiting for?
Unless you can afford to rescue these horses yourself, as you are currently doing,get her out of there. It sounds like you aren’t going to see any money.
Have any of the horses been placed since she moved them to your farm? They should at the very least be given away.

I think it is pretty safe to say that she has abandoned these horses. Call Animal Control and your local police department…unless you like being the proud new owner of 39 horses.

Since the horses are at your place, here is what you can do. Call HARPS or HAHS or the county sherriff, explain the situation and ask them to send an investigator out to remove the horses. I could not do this when she was in Trevor since they would be trespassing with no probable cause but it is your property so you can.
Trying to get boarders will not work. Would you board your horse where there are 39 horses with no wormers, no shots and hooves that are not trimmed? Where they sometimes do not get fed (and she will not feed boarder horses if she can not feed her own)? No one is going to sell her hay except for cash up front, winter is coming. What will you do when her horses get sick, like if strangles or flu runs through the barn, can you afford the vet bill or can you stand to watch the horses die from disease or starve?

But, a $4,000,000 dollar farm, dam, what have I done wrong. hahahahaha
If anything of this thread is true, I sure do feel for the lady who is now the BO of a woman with 39 rescues.

I agree. Very strange.
I looked up GreenGate as welll. There are way too many of them. One said they closed in Dec. 09. Some are still going. I was pretty sure I found info on the right one but it was just a blog about a horse rescued.
Cant tell if there is anything to this thread or not but the OP is the only person on this thread that seems to have been around for a while.

Try Google search- ‘Green Gate Simpkins’ and this thread comes up. She is the one that was on television (see the one ‘Rescued horse shows spirit to live’ from WKOW TV27. And read the comments.)
You may wonder why there are people that go out of their way to warn others about this person. It is not just because she owes most of us money but because she violated our trust. What she did takes away from legitimate rescues.
So yes, we watch the internet for her name to turn up so that we can keep others from suffering this same fate. Unfortunately for Xenad we were too late.
But you can see- look at Wayside’s post. We did not ‘make up’ public records of this legal judgement. Call Bristol Vet and ask them.
Drove by her place in Wisconsin. My oh my. Cannot believe the deplorable conditions…not just the horses but the living quarters for them. Horrific!! This must be stopped!

She only has 4 left on my property now. They should leave today. I am so sorry I did not find this until after she was here. Was asked by a friend to help her out until she closed and got new fencing up on new place. 2 months turned into 14 months of a nightmare!! She lies about everything, so anyone meeting this woman, trust me, she will cause so much heart ache for you. The poor horses are only part of her victims.
