Info wanted on stallion fertility

Hey, first time poster. Looking at breeding from the following stallions this year(based on vet and SO recommendations for my mares). However as I’m in NZ I will be using frozen from them, so I’m looking for info on how these stallions hold up re frozen and what your experiences have been, plus any red flags you’ve found!

Dallas VDL.
Glasgow van’t M.
Grand Slam VDL.
Carrera VDL.
Van Gogh/Numero Uno(I have frozen from both these stallions from prior seasons that I never used and have been putting off using it as I’ve heard a few bad things).
Cohinoor VDL.
Parco.
Clinton II(also what I already have but have heard bad things about).
Cornet Obolensky(as with Clinton).
Big Star.
Chacgrando PSI.

I will have my biggest breeding season so far this year(from 6 years breeding) with 14 mares going in foal of which 3 are also doing ET and one is doing ICSI, so understandably I’m a bit nervous! Any info re fertility on the above stallions is great!😊

Superior equine sires keeps a frozen semen database (http://www.superiorequinesires.com/cdb-listing.php).

I bred a mare to Grand Slam last year for an amazing 2019 colt. Mare took on the first try. The embryo never developed a heartbeat and mare resorbed. She was then again pregnant on the first cycle and carried to term.

I can attest to both the Glasgow and the CO semen being good. We had our mares catch to both. The straw we got for CO was before he had done much competing, so older but more motile than after his retirement. Glasgow our mare caught, but didn’t keep it (not the fault of the stud) and our vet checked it and said it was excellent. Contact Prima Equestrian, they are the Canadian dealers for the VDL stud and know more information on the VDL studs motility, dosing and the sorts.

Parco is fantastic. I got my mare in foal off one dose. The vet commented it was very good and he was very happy with it.

Thanks heaps for the info. Anymore is much appreciated!

I got a pregnancy to Dallas VDL this past season. Bred with 1 dose. Caught the mare at time of ovulation though so that always helps. We’re still pregnant fingers crossed for a successful foaling in 2020.
