There has been some good advise given about your condition and I hope you take it. Ingrown toenails are very painful and you need to be seen by a podiatrist. It sounds like you may have to take action to get yourself some treatment

This is an old time cure…but it does not work over night
In the middle of your toe nail use your clippers and cut a V
As the toenail grows it will start to pull on the outter edges and that will remove the ingrown toenail.
You can also soften your toenail by soaking in epsom salts…and SLOWLY and carefully use a pair of small sissors…get them under the edge of the toenail and clean out the nail debris from under that edge. That will also encourage it to pull into the middle where the V is.
