Injured foot healing time

I apologize if this is the wrong section for this question.

My mare accidentally stomped on the bridge of my foot with a front shod hoof after losing her balance (shoes were being pulled) while I was in the wrong place right in front of her.

I was wearing boots thankfully but almost passed out from the pain. Went for an xray and they could not find any fractures but said it is difficult to see clearly due to all the swelling and to go back for a follow-up if the pain remains. I was using crutches for a week and am now walking on it in the second week.

There is still some pain and my foot has started to feel like it is “crunching” sometimes - especially after I have been sitting for a while. It is also very sore if I ride more than one day in a row.

I’m sure many of you had to deal with this type of injury, just curious if any bones were found to be broken after the initial swelling went down. How long did it take before you were pain free?

I recently got stepped on (not stomped) and I was mostly healed in a week. The first night my foot was very swollen and stiff and it was really hard to walk. Each day after it got better.

I broke my foot in a similar fashion and the fracture was not visible on xrays until 2 or 3 weeks later due to the swelling. I’d go back for a recheck if I was you.

I jumped off a fence and hit the ground funny.
I limped along all spring, foot swelled and had rainbow colors for long time.

That fall, at the regular checkup, mentioned it to the Dr, that sent me for x-rays and said three of those long bones on top were broken and set funny.
He sent me to a specialist, that put an insert in that shoe and told me from then on to always wear shoes with thick soles, like hiking boots.
I went back every two months, he kept tweaking the insert and I used it for about two years, after that it finally healed and the foot didn’t hurt any more, as long as I wear shoes with thick soles for support.

My story so you see what may happen, so better go get it checked just to be sure if it needs a special boot now or a cast, you get them tended to, so they heal properly.

My poor left foot has suffered multiple fractures on two separate occasions. In college I broke my foot after a fall in several places, including multiple toes and 2 of the long bones in the foot. That took about 6 weeks to get back to normal, but I was much better after just 2-3 weeks.

I am currently dealing with a similar horse injury. I was tacking up my horse and made the mistake of not putting fly spray on the poor critter (and we were in a wooded area). He shifted his weight to swat a fly and unknowingly put all of his body weight and shod foot on my big toe. That was hella painful. I broke my toe but there isn’t anything they can really do for it. I was told 6 weeks for that. It’s been 2.5 weeks and it’s much better, but still gets really sore and painful if I’ve been walking a lot. A lot of my pain is probably related to all the damage my nail bed sustained though.

4weeks till my broken 3 toes stopped hurting. No treatment but I did get an X-ray
