Inoperable claudication

Mods may pull this because it’s not me, it’s my 88 year old Dad. But he loves my horse, calls him his grandhorse.

I am just so very sad. Claudication is a condition where the arteries in your legs have a buildup of plaque, caused by artherosclerosis. Usual cure is surgical - they either put in a stent or do a bypass. They won’t operate due to serious risk factors - hhis age and general state of health. There’s a drug but they won’t give it to him due to potential serious liver damage. So there’s nothing they can do. He can’t walk much without serious pain and I believe it will only get worse. I love him so much, cannot imagine my life without him.

That sucks. I would Dr shop for a while. Jingles.
