This is an episode from a British documentary series, “Inside Nature’s Giants.”

Thanks for sharing! One of the most striking things I’ve noticed right off the bat: British horses are shod a million times better than American horses.
This has been linked to multiple times, but it really is a must-see film. Personally, I was blown away by the lungs, but when you start to think about it, it’s really logical.
I watched it last time it was posted. Thought it was very interesting to see how the “machine” is so well constructed to do its job.

Could it be because farriers in the UK have to serve an apprenticeship for a minimum of 4 years under an Approved Training Farrier and be able to pass rigorous examinations before they are allowed to work on horses by themselves?

In the US, anyone can buy a few keg shoes, a box of nails, business cards and call themselves a “farrier”. This is what lack of regulation gets you…
This was fascinating, saw it on Youtube a while back.
Yes it has been linked to, many times. It is worth watching.
