Instructor south of Boston

currently looking for a dressage trainer/coach south of Boston. Looking for someone that is not breed specific, prejudice. I have my own horse, willing to travel to a certain extent. Any suggestions?? Thanks!

I would go on the NEDA website and look for the list of instructors…

What area south of Boston? What level are you talking? Green horse? Upper level horse?

For upper levels Rita Brown is in Scituate or Saltmarsh Farm in the Dartmouth area. Patty Montana in Bridgewater.
If lower levels I have trained to PSG with Jane Hannigan and I teach lower levels in Hanover. PM me if you have any questions!

Iam in the Hailfax, Plympton area. I do know some of the local trainers, but Iam looking for someone that won’t be so anti TB. My mare is green, walk trot canter, shoulder in, leg yield etc. I have ridden upper level. Trained yrs ago with Lendon Gray for 2 yrs. and other great people such as Bill Woods, Volker Bromman, Bill Warren, etc. Iam coming from the event world, sadly my mare is not showing much talent for jumping :frowning:

Wow you rode with some great people!! Bill Warren is just in Stoughton but he leaves for Florida soon. Try Patty, she works with Bill I think.

Maria Harrington. http://www.mharringtonequestrian.com/

She is the best instructor I ever had. Her schoolmaster is a Morgan, so no breed prejudice there!

I would suggest Sarah Stubbs - she is maybe a 1/2 hour south of you. I train with her and she is excellent, particularly at explaining my body in relation to my horse’s. I ride a Half-Arab who also did not pan out into an eventer. Sarah’s schoolmaster was a Fourth Level/Prix St. Georges OTTB, and she has a Welsh Cob at Prix St. Georges now. There’s no breed prejudice there  She trains with Rita Brown and Shannon Dueck when Shannon is here.

Oh - I just noticed Maria Harrington is also from Rochester; I didn’t realize there was a dressage trainer at Sterling Pointe

Maria is free lance. Sterling Pointe is just one of the farms where she trains.

I came to recommend Maria but you beat me to it.

I used to lease her schoolmaster and LOVED riding with Maria. I gave it up a while back but she is still a great friend of mine.
