I currently have major medical/colic coverage with ASPCA. As they do not offer mortality, has anyone purchased a second, separate policy for just mortality? I do not see why this would not work. The other options would be to cancel the ASPCA and pick up the major medical/colic with the mortality insurer (more expensive), or have two policies for major medical/colic and one for mortality. Just want to be sure I am covering my bases and not missing something! Thanks for any input!
I have both for my young horse. ASPCA and then mortality through Markel.
