I saw this product advertised on TV yesterday and then googled their website. I found the contact info and asked them if this would work on horses and she emailed me back with a YES!! So no more paying for fetal sex ultrasounds that may or may not give you an answer. Now… I just have to get the mare to pee in the cup!!! Just thought I would share. It can be bought at Walgreens, Target, & CVS.
I have never heard of this product. Do I understand correctly that I can go to my local drug store, buy it, catch some pee, and find out the sex of a foal?
My vet doesn’t have the right machine to do it and I think it would be so much fun to have an idea. I bred for my first hopeful stallion prospect and I’m dying to know what she’s got in there!!
Yep, that’s right
I had never heard of it either until I saw it advertised on TV. It is easy to collect urine from a mare in heat, just tease her…but I’m not sure how easy it will be to collect from a pregnant mare. I guess the wait will be the worst thing. My mare usually urinates just as I am preparing to feed in the afternoon, so maybe with some help to pour the feed while I am in the stall with her will do the trick. Just as soon as I can I will report back.
I’m currently pregnant and frequent a pregnancy bulletin board. While I haven’t used Intelligender, I know a lot of the women there have, and results were often wrong/equivocal. So have fun - but despite the company’s enthusiasm, it seems to leave a lot to be desired in terms of accuracy!

Awww… It’s right about 50% of the time:lol:

That was my thought.
Exactly!
Shoot!
Really?? I was hoping this would be the ticket. Supposedly an Alpaca breeder had nearly 100% correct prediction in his herd, but I’m not sure how many he did the test on. I may try it anyway. I did the U/S @ 60 days but it was hard to tell due to the cord being in the way. I’ll report back when I get the urine collected.
How much is it?
Just paypal it to me,I will do it for half the price with the same 50% accuracy from the convenience of your computer chair
My sister did it on herself three times. It predicted three girls. She has two girls and a son.
How long has this thing been out?
I had never heard of it till yesterday on an ad on TV. I emailed them about the possibility of using it on horses and that is when they replied yes, that an alpaca breeder had great results with it. We’ll see. Edgar, I’m not sure how much it is, I think about $35. The founder said she would supply me some of the kits to do a mini-study so I’m going to get some mares together and give it a try. I’ll report back when I get some answers.
