Would be interested in seeing some photos & video of andalusian x WB crosses. I am still thinking of who I might consider for my andalusian mare, and the only andalusian sire I might have chosen for her (Fugitivo) has passed away.

Thanks all. So far, I haven’t seen anything that would tempt me to breed her to a WB. Guess I’ll keep looking at iberian possibilities. This is an exceptional mare; not only movement and conformation wise, but temperament too. The only reason I am considering other breeds is that she isn’t registered.
The two types are very different and would not seem to me to be a good cross for many reasons.
Awhile back there was a thread like this and someone posted a link to two horses at the Shockemohle auction in Germany. Both were by an Andalusian out of warmblood mares–I don’t know how you would find them today?
Fugi was a nice boy and so sad how he died. He was a character. Did you check with his owner about some frozen?
If I had been breeding for a personal dressage prospect for myself, my choice would have been an Andalusian/Warmblood cross. The best dressage prospects I ever rode personally past the ‘green’ stage were Andalusian/Thoroughbred crosses in Spain. I only saw one in Spain that had been crossed to warmblood and he was spectacular under saddle though a bit unimpressive just standing, though the warmbloods that long ago were heavier, generally, than they are now. I would definitely have gone for the cross to one of the more modern types for a personal mount.
