Hello
I am looking to transport a horse from Portugal ( Lisbon area ) to western US
have limited experience with transport companies - if you have had a good experience with a company would love to hear !
I recently used Dutta Corp to bring a horse in from Europe (not Portugal), but their website says their network includes Portugal. They handled everything including import, customs paperwork and quarantine. Also arranged final ground transportation to my barn and communication along the way. I had an excellent experience.
Thank you - I will check them out

Hello - would you mind telling me where you flew into the US ?
Horse was flown into NY. I think the major hubs for entry from Europe are NY, LA, Miami, Chicago.
There is also Texas (Dallas, I think were international horses can fly into) as well as LAX.
I have only used Dutta or Humberto (who used to work for Dutta) https://flyhfr.com/
The good news is that these big transport people handle all of the details. You just need to sign papers and pay them.
I have two votes for Dutta and so I reached out to them
Thank you !!!
Dallas isn’t a USDA port, last I recall.
Ah! Thanks!! It’s been a decade (or so) since I flew horses. It maybe a different airport or it could have closed
