Intrepid Saddle Review

There’s a tack shop, a three hour drive from home, selling 2 new Intrepid close contact saddles at a great price, but I don’t want to make the drive unless I’m pretty sure I’m leaving with a saddle. Problem is I can’t find a single review on Intrepid saddles. The two models I’m looking at are:
• Intrepid Gold Deluxe w/ Interchangeable gullet
  • Arwen Jump Deluxe W/ Interchangeable gullet
From the limited info I've been able to gather, they're both made by CANPRO. If anyone can share their experience with these saddles, it would be greatly appreciated!
  • I have owned a Gold and ridden in both the Gold Deluxe and the Arwen. IMO, these are the best of the value priced saddles such as Collegiate, HDR, Santa Cruz/Toulose. They have very decent leather for the money, and fit a wide range of horses well due to the tree and panel design with wool flocking. In my area, they are popular as re-sale saddles and hold their value pretty well.

I actually regret parting with mine as it was a very nice saddle for the price. If i was going to purchase again, I’d personally go with the Arwen as I loved the balance of it. Both deluxe models have very grippy leather.

I have the Arwen and love it. It cleans up well and has been used hard for 4 years, but still looks great. I will buy another one soon.
