Iowa Hunt week?

Our hunt received a wonderful invitation to join Moingona and other hunts for Iowa Hunt week. What you tell me about this?
What is the hunting like - how fast?
What is the terrain like?
What are the jumps like?

I would appreciate any input - Thanks

I’m not a member but I’ll placehold until someone shows up, can’t have you thinking Iowa foxhunters are ignoring you! I’ve capped at several of the Moingoina fixtures in the past and the terrain is varied – fields, woods, hills, creeks, definitely enough to keep it interesting especially on those good, hard runs. Seriously beautiful country, and most of the jumping is over well-maintained wooden coops. I would venture to say that you can probably find a flight to suit you here in Iowa.

: - )

Oh wait! Is this an excuse/opportunity for another party?

Good point, GrayCatFarm and I are available at a moment’s notice to entertain any out-of-state CotHer. I’m also on hand to pass the stirrup cup tray/man the whoopie wagon in the Tipton hunt country on occasion and I’m sure GCF would join me there to welcome you as well.

(Yes, GCF, par-TAY! And BTW the answer to your sig line question – guts!)

I can confirm this statement

Yes, it’s official. Sparky Boy will be changing her location to Iowa in the future.

But, back to the OP… Do come for a visit. I believe that there is a horse show with the Moingona hunt that we may attend.

The last dinner party we had was attended by persons nearly a 2 hr drive away. Think of the possibilities during hunt week.
